OUF Board Meeting

Dear all,

We have exciting projects that we are currently working on within OUF. I would like to share with everyone these new opportunities and update the board members about the current state of the OUF projects. To that effect, I would like to remind everyone that the next OUF board meeting is going to be held on Thursday, August 6th at 7:00pm in the President’s room at the University Club of Portland (located at 1225 SW 6th Ave, Portland, OR 97204). I hope to see you there.

Warm wishes,
Mohammad Rahman

Educare-Africa Updates

A message from Educare-Africa’s founder, Pavla Zakova-Laney:

Dear Friends and supporters,

Warm greetings and many loving thoughts to you all! If you love our work then tell the world! You have an exciting opportunity to help Educare-Africa make even more of a difference for youth in our community. GreatNonprofits – a site like Yelp – is conducting a contest to find the top-rated youth-focused nonprofits around the country.

Won’t you help us gain visibility by posting a review of your experience with us? All reviews will be visible to potential donors and volunteers. It’s easy and only takes 3 minutes! Go to www.greatnonprofits.org/reviews and search for Educare-Africa to post a review to our page!

Plus, if you write a review, you have a chance to win great prizes such as a certificate to Birkenstock, Cliff Bars, Wild Planet Toys, delicious treats from Greyson Bakery and more! With your help we can gain greater visibility in the community.

Urgent action needed:

In addition, since the new school year is approaching fast and we want to assist many students again this year, I would like to ask you if you could mention our volunteer work in your Churches, Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis International, Youth groups, teachers, Women’s groups and any other group that may be interested in what we do. We want to pay the school and exam registration fees on time, which means we need to raise the funds before the end of August. Our goal is at least $5,000 for now and every dollar counts. When the school fees and the GCE exam registration fees are not paid in time, students are often sent home from school, which has a detrimental effect on their exam results.

For more information, you could check our new website below, where you will find a brief summary, photographs and video clips from my recent trip toCameroon. Do not hesitate to ask any questions.

Thank you so much on behalf of many students in Cameroon for your loving care and continuing kind and generous support! They are tremendously grateful to you for your LOVE and GENEROSITY!

With much love, joy, peace and gratitude,

Fondly,

Pavla
