Kanji project in Sri Lanka – Baithul Khair Foundation

Salam Waliakum
Enclosed please find the pictures from SriLanka regarding how they make Kanji and average person is able to have a dinner for 10 cents.Everything in life is so relative.
Kanji is made out of different grains and cocunut milk.It is a simple healthy meal.We are so fortunate to have been blessed with these simple projects with big leverage.OneUmmah Foundation goal was to do 100,000 meals just in SriLanka alone and our sponsors came through faster then the speed of light.
We are accepting funds for Myanmar, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Cambodia and Bangladesh. Please let us know if anyone like to sponsor amongst your friend and families. 100% of your funds will be reaching the needy folks.
It is our intention to keep OneUmmah Foundation 100% fat-free and volunteer base.
In our state of Oregon we have a charity called Goodwill industries where the top five executives are making over $850,000 US PER PERSON AND CEO MAKES 1.3 MILLION DOLLARS.

These people have no shame because they are what people call “Poverty pimp”.Making big living at the expense of poor.

As always thanks for being the agent of change. We appreciate your help and guidence.

It is very inspiring to read such real stories, that make real differences. "Keep it simple" is a good philosophy, even when it comes to social service. Kanji (called Ganji here in Bangalore) is definitely a very nutritious and easy meal to prepare for the masses. When food is normally distributed at the masajid, the children and men get to eat from it, but the ladies and the old people sitting at home don't get to partake from it. But in the case of Kanji, it is easy for children/adults to take some of the soup for their homes (as you can see from the pictures). I would suggest that you try and carry on this "soup-kitchen-model" throughout the year, even if at a lower scale.
    Best wishes for Eid.
    Wassalam
